In adherence to the USCCB Charter for the Protection of Children & Young People, His Excellency Bishop Konderla promulgated the Policies & Procedures for the Protection of Children & Young People (“Policies”) for the Diocese of Tulsa. The new Policies represent a comprehensive collection of policies and procedures that supersedes the 2003 Policies Concerning Sexual Misconduct. Among other things, it includes: how to report an allegation of sexual abuse, VIRTUS Requirements, Annual Safe Environment Audit procedures, and a new Code of Ethics that supersedes the old Code of Conduct.
Policies & Procedures for the Protection of Children & Young People
Overall, as Bishop Konderla has reminded us, protecting the most vulnerable in our communities is in fact a community effort. Everyone is a “valued ally.” In this spirit, the Office of Child & Youth Protection wants to thank all of you for all the work you do to protect our children, youth, and vulnerable adults.
