Dear Brothers and Sisters,
With 77 parishes across 31 counties and an estimate of over 100,000 Catholics, this is our growing family. And on behalf of all of us, I present the new Faith & Works Annual Appeal for the Diocese of Tulsa and Eastern Oklahoma.
If you are a teenager in Idabel in need of Catholic friends, if you are a young man in Pawhuska discerning the priesthood, if you are a college student in Tulsa struggling with your faith, if you are a divorcee in Shidler in need of healing, if you are a parishioner in Miami in need of adult faith formation, or any one of hundreds of other needs throughout the Diocese, then our recently renamed Faith & Works Annual Appeal may be an answer to prayers. Through the appeal we work together to provide ministry resources and services to our parishes that no single parish could otherwise provide for itself.
We do not give because others have needs, but because we have a need—a need to experience the joy of giving, of working together to serve others as disciples of our Lord. You have been generous in the past, and I am praying that God will bless you with the ability to help once again this year or to become a first-time donor. Throughout the year, as we report back on the many successes of the annual work of the Diocese, we can celebrate together, because together, our faith goes further.
Sincerely in Christ,
Bishop David A. Konderla
Bishop of Tulsa and Eastern Oklahoma
