St. Bernard of Clairvaux Catholic Church invites you to attend a celebration on Saturday, September 25, 2021 in honor of Saint Lorenzo Ruiz of Manila.
Bishop Emeritus Edward Slattery will celebrate Mass at 11 am. The Mass will be celebrated in English, but the songs will be in Tagalog, the national language of the Philippines.
Immediately following Mass, there wil be a luncheon and brief cultural show including the tinikling, the national dance of the Philippines.
Everyone is encouraged to bring side dish for lunch to share; main course dishes will be provided.
San Lorenzo is the first Filipino Catholic saint, canonized in 1987 by St. Pope John Paul II. His feast day is September 28. Learn more about Saint Lorenzo here.
This celebration will be a gathering of all faiths, Filipinos and non-Filipinos to taste and see the Filipino culture as all are gathered to pray and help one another under God's guidance.
