Monte Cassino School, a private Pk-8 Catholic school in Tulsa, Oklahoma, is proud to announce their collaboration with Catholic Charities of Eastern Oklahoma in assisting the Afghan refugees who are coming to Tulsa. Monte Cassino School has pledged to provide 20,000 diapers to be ready for these families when they arrive to Tulsa.
Over 8,000 diapers have been donated since the drive’s September 17, 2021 start. “Our hearts go out to these families as they resettle half way around the world from their homes. If we can help eliminate even the tiniest worry by making sure they have important basic needs fulfilled, such as having diapers ready when they get here then we know we demonstrated the Benedictine value of hospitality.”
The first load of 4,000 diapers was delivered to Catholic Charities on Sept. 23, 2021. The remaining 16,000 diapers will be loaded from the school's campus and delivered to Catholic Charities on October 4, 2021
