In 2012, to secure our treasured heritage from rain damage the old deteriorating slate roof was replaced with a copper roof. In addition, a new drainage system has been built on the west side of the Church to divert the running rain water away from the basement of the Church.
Repairs needed to the exterior of the Church:
The cracking exterior stone walls are in need of tuckpointing.
Close up of damaged exterior window sill.

The Pews The beautiful handcrafted oak pews are deteriorating and are in bad repairs. These pews cannot be duplicated or replaced. To preserve this rich heritage in fine wood each pew will be taken apart, hand stripped, repaired, refinished and reupholstered.
Other Repairs
The green floor tiles will be taken out of the nave and the original long-leaf pine wood floor underneath will be sanded down and finished.
The present Romex wiring is a fire hazard. All the circuits will be in conduit for commercial application and concealed underneath the Church.
New pendant light fixtures will be installed in the nave.
A New Public Address System will be installed.
Our Church has three large bells and a small rope pulled bell. The three large bells will be automated and programmed to ring the Angelus, the Hour Strike, the Funeral Toll, and the Call to Worship. The bells when repaired will be heard miles away pealing in praise of God.
The Stained Glass Windows In the past multiple repair works have been undertaken on the windows to address the bowing of the windows. Failed paint, broken and mis-matched replacement glass applied to the kiln-fired details on the windows are indications that the windows are in decline. The stained glass windows need to be restored.
Restoration work to be done.
Remove the stained glass panels.
Repair the rotten window sills.
Conserve or replace all the broken glass.
Cut new glass to match the original existing glass.
Repaint and kiln-fire all the missing details.
Re-lead and cement panels, and apply new reinforcement bars to match the original bars.
Install restored stained glass into newly built wood frame as original.
Repaint the wood window frames. This process will restore the stained glass windows to their original setting configuration. Preserving Our Spiritual Heritage
