What is the Chancery?
The Chancery is the central support office of the Diocese of Tulsa that assists the Bishop in his governance and pastoral care of Eastern Oklahoma. Each office is animated by the vision of the Bishop, and each office is called to a spirit of servant leadership. In listening to the needs and challenges presented in the life of our local Church, the Chancery hopes to serve the Diocese with both excellence and fidelity.
What does the Chancellor do?
In the Diocese of Tulsa, the Chancellor assists the Moderator of the Curia in ensuring the Chancery fulfills its mission of assisting the Bishop with the implementation of his pastoral vision for the Church in Eastern Oklahoma. In addition, the Chancellor serves as in-house counsel to the Bishop, and supports the departments of Child & Youth Protection, Archives, Communications, Family Life & Pro-Life, Youth, and Stewardship & Development.
