What is the role of the Chancellor?
In a spirit of servant leadership, the Chancellor & In-House Counsel serves the Bishop and the Church in Eastern Oklahoma for the glory of God and the salvation of souls. The Chancellor is charged with five key areas of responsibility: to fulfill his duties under Canon Law, to serve as in-house counsel to the Diocese, to assist the Moderator of the Curia in the organization of the Chancery, to assist the Bishop with the corporate governance of the Diocese, and to support the following Chancery ministries: Youth, Young Adult, & Campus Ministries; Family Life & Pro-Life; Communications; Philanthropy; Catholic Schools, Archives; Office & Campus Management; Child & Youth Protection; and the new diocesan theological institute.
What is the role of In-House Counsel?
The In-House Counsel provides legal services, advice, and representation to the Diocese of Tulsa and Eastern Oklahoma and its affiliated parishes, schools, and ministries.
