Every year the 40 Days for Life campaign brings together people in 63 countries and over 1000 cities to pray, fast, and stand vigil at abortion facilities. Peacefully and prayerfully the many participants give witness to the dignity of unborn children and their mothers. Over 17 thousand babies have been saved, 206 abortion workers have quit, and 107 abortion centers have closed.
The Diocese of Tulsa and Eastern Oklahoma will sponsor another 40 Days for Life campaign at the Garden of Hope, from September 23 through November 1, 2020. With prayer, fasting and holding vigil, we will seek God’s power to heal the scourge of abortion in our city and world.
This year our vigil of prayer at the Garden of Hope will last from 5 am to 11 pm, 7 days per week, from September 23 to November 1, 2020.
Sign-ups for a prayer commitment at the garden will be conducted exclusively online through the 40 Days For Life, Tulsa Campaign website: https://www.40daysforlife.com/tulsa .
Parishes, churches and other groups will be invited to sponsor certain days of the vigil by asking their members to fill the day assigned to them. Each person will sign up online at the website above. Though we are not signing up to pray at the Garden of Hope during the late night and early morning hours, everyone is free to go to Garden on his own initiative or to pray at home.
We need everybody! From the youngest to the oldest, every person and every family is needed to give witness to the sanctity of human life and to pray for an end to abortion. Gather your family or church group in prayer and fasting to stop abortion.
