Would you like to serve the poor in a unique and fun way? Catholic Charities could use your help to build another garden bed this year “to grow healthy foods that nourish the body, soul and spirit” through the Saint Fiacre Garden Program. Last year we were blessed to have a Boy Scout build a garden bed for his Eagle Project. Would you or your men’s group like to take on this project? Or, perhaps a project for your family or group of friends? It would be ideal if you have the necessary tools, woodworking skills and even the means to procure the supplies through donation or discount. Also, we need volunteers to work on the garden team and help weed, water, and harvest vegetables throughout the year. So even if your talent isn’t swinging the hammer, we have a place for everyone! If you would like to help build the garden bed or work on the garden team this year, please call Matt DeWeese, Kitchen and Garden Coordinator at 918.508.7151 or mdeweese@cctulsa.org. We would be happy to tell you more about the garden ministry and show you what is currently going on.
