In this class we will look at the foundational treatise of St. Thomas’
Summa Theologiae. St. Thomas shows how what we know about God as He is One precedes what we can know of Him as Triune. This treatise discusses the topic of God’s perfection and goodness, His infinity and eternity, as well as what pertains to his knowledge, will, and power. St. Thomas’ Treatise on the One God is preparatory not only to Trinitarian theology, but to the other parts of his theology as well.
