Marriages in need of healing and support can find resources in the local and national Catholic community. Various parishes have healing ministries or offer workshops on communication. If the marriage is in trouble, it is recommended to first talk with your pastor. Additional resources, retreats and healing opportunities are below.
Retrouvaille is a program to help couples with troubled marriages. The main emphasis of the program is on communication between husband and wife. The Retrouvaille program consists of a weekend session with six follow-up sessions. During the weekend a series of informal talks are given by a team of three couples and a priest. Participating couples are not asked to share their problems with anyone else. There are no group dynamics or group discussions. It is currently hosted at the Pastoral Center in Oklahoma City and run by a team of leaders from across the state. Please email [email protected] or call 405-885-0667 for more information.
