The Diocese of Tulsa has been challenged by Catholic Extension to raise $100,000 for the St. John Vianney Seminarian Education Trust. (The interest from St. John Vianney Seminary Education Trust is used to pay the seminary education expenses of the seminarian in the Diocese of Tulsa) If we raise $100,000 in the calendar year 2014, we will receive $50,000 from Catholic Extension for the Trust.
An anonymous donor in the diocese has offered an additional challenge to help us make our goal! The anonymous donor will match, dollar for dollar, all donations between $1,000 and $10,000 up to a total of $50,000 between Oct.1 and Dec. 31, 2014.
Thanks to the generosity of Catholic Extension and the anonymous donor, every contribution between October 1 and December 31 will multiply itself two and a half times! For example, if we receive a donation of $5,000 for the St. John Vianney Seminarian Education Trust, the Trust will actually receive $12,500, as long as we meet the $100,000 Catholic Extension challenge goal.
We are very close to making our goal! Please consider a donation. Even if you are unable to contribute at this time, please choose a seminarian to keep in your prayers as he works toward ordination. Information about contributions to the seminary trust, and prayer cards featuring each individual seminarian, are available from Lori Hahn at the Chancery, 918.307.4935 or [email protected].
