Bishop Kondera Releases Statement, Prayer Marking 30th Anniversary of OKC Bombing

"As we commemorate the 30th anniversary of the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building Bombing in Oklahoma City, let us continue to pray for the end of all violence and terrorism both at home and abroad," said Bishop Konderla. "This day — April 19, 1995 — forever changed the lives of the 168 men, women, and children and their families who were killed as well as the first responders who came to their aid. My prayers remain for the repose of their souls and for continued healing for all who were touched by this tragedy in our state." 

  In addition, parishes throughout the diocese are asked to include the following prayer of the faithful during Easter Sunday Mass:

  The public is invited to gather for the 30^th Anniversary Remembrance Ceremony in Oklahoma City from 8:30-10:30 a.m., Saturday, April 19, at the Outdoor Symbolic Memorial. Former President Bill Clinton is the keynote speaker for the ceremony, which will include 168 moments of silence, a reading of the names of those killed, and remarks from survivors, family members, and community leaders.
