Bishop Konderal announces the distribution of the Precious Blood to resume
July7,2022
Bishop Konderla will consecrate the Diocese of Tulsa & Eastern Oklahoma to the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus on the Feast of Corpus Christi, June 19, 2022, at Holy Family Cathedral as part of the Eucharistic procession. The consecration is done partly in thanksgiving for God’s grace during the COVID-19 pandemic and partly in gratitude for the works accomplished under the shared vision of God Builds a House.
The Diocese of Tulsa will then be consecrated to all three hearts of its patrons, the Holy Family: the Immaculate Heart of Mary, the Most Chaste Heart of St. Joseph, and now the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus.
Furthermore, Bishop Konderla has instructed that the distribution of the Precious Blood may resume at the weekend Masses for the feast of Corpus Christi, June 18/19, 2022. The COVID-19 policies will be updated accordingly.
It is recommended that each parish starts off slowly offering 1-2 chalices to gauge the level of participation. As the desire to receive from the chalice increases additional chalices can be added.
