Msgr. Patrick Brankin, Vicar for Deacons for the Diocese of Tulsa, has released the assignments for the deacon candidates who, God willing, will be ordained by Bishop Konderla as permanent deacons on June 17. Please pray for these men as they prepare both for their ordinations and their new assignments.
Deacon Cand. Erick Bell
Assignments effective July 16.
Deacon Bell will be assigned to the staff of Catholic Charities where he serves as the Director of Emergency Services.
His secondary assignment is to assist the Diocesan Delegate for Religious and Consecrated Life (Rev. Michael Pratt) in his ministry of overseeing and fostering the growth in charity of the various third orders and oblate groups with are present in the Diocese.
Deacon Bell will be given a third assignment to assist with limited duties to his home parish, Ss. Peter & Paul, Tulsa.
Deacon Cand. Jonathan Conro
Assignments effective July 16.
Deacon Conro will be assigned to his home parish, Holy Family Cathedral Parish.
He will receive a secondary assignment to serve as the Diocesan Liaison to the Catholic Home School community.
Deacon Cand. Steve Creed
Assignments effective July 16.
Deacon Creed will be assigned to his home parish, Saint Anne in Broken Arrow.
He received as well a secondary assignment to assist the Diocesan exorcist in the diocesan deliverance ministry.
Deacon Cand. Joseph Fritsch
Assignments effective July 16.
Deacon Fritsch will be assigned to his home parish, the Church of the Madalene.
Deacon Cand. Vincent Greuel
Assignments effective July 16.
Deacon Greuel will be assigned to his home parish, Sacred Heart Parish in Sapulpa.
He has also been asked to work with the Diocesan Youth and Young Adult Office to develop plans for new programs
Deacon Cand. Anthony Hicks
Assignments effective July 16.
Deacon Hicks has received an assignment to Holy Ghost Parish in Vinita.
His Secondary Assignment will be to assist the Diocesan exorcist in the diocesan deliverance ministry.
Deacon Cand. Michael Loeffler
Assignments effective July 16.
Deacon Loeffler’s primary assignment will be to begin a new ministry here in the Diocese, serving as an outreach to the Catholic educators of the Diocese, under Superintendat Jim Pohlman.
His secondary assignment is to his home parish, Christ the King and to the Cascia Hall community.
Deacon Cand. Kevin Malarkey
Assignments effective July 16.
Deacon Malarkey’s primary assignment is to his home parish, Christ the King in Tulsa, with an extension to the community at Cascia Hall.
Following his succesful completion of the post-ordination training in Canon Law, it is expected that Kevin will also be assigned to assist in the Diocesan Matrimonial Tribunal.
Deacon Cand. Charlie Moomaw
Assignments effective July 16.
Deacon Moomaw has been assigned to his home parish Saint John before the Latin Gate, Bartlesville.
Deacon Cand. BD Tidmore
Assignments effective July 16.
Deacon Tidmore will be assigned to the staff of Catholic Charities as a chaplain for Porta Coeli House.
He received a secondary assignment as well, to Holy Family Cathedral Parish.
