Designed as a prelude to Pope Francis’ “Year of Mercy,” the body of St. Maria will arrive in the United States on September 16th. “What begins in September is a profound catechesis on the meaning of forgiveness,” explained Bishop Edward Slattery “and thus a real preparation for the Church in the U.S. to celebrate the coming Jubilee of Mercy. She is what Pope Francis wants the Church to become.”
In Tulsa, the relics will be brought to six locations where Mass will be celebrated and Fr. Martins, C.C., will give presentations on her life and martyrdom.
